Silly Days of Summer:

We get them all.  Each summer we seem to get what is loosely called in our industry the "bucket and spade brigade." Good meaning guests that leave us scratching our heads after they check out.

Here is a collection of our favorites from over the past few years. We hope you enjoy them as much as we did.

• We had a guest from France that complained that there were airplanes in the skies over Orlando. When we asked him how he got here he said he flew in on a quiet plane from Miami. He also complained that the pictures in his agents brochure did not look like Florida. We showed him the brochure and he pointed to pictures of Arizona and its soaring mountains and cactus. They wanted the part of Florida where the Rocky Mountains, Dessert, and Atlantic Ocean met. One morning it rained and he complained that we placed him in a home where the rain fell too much. He left after 3 weeks to go to a Club Med where he claimed was always sunny and quiet.
   

• One customer said he could not find any good old fashioned British grub like lasagna or chili and kebabs.
   

• "As my wife had two replacement hips there was no way she could see in the dark."
   

• "We wanted to snorkel and swim at the Disney water parks but this was impossible as my husband lost his dentures."
   

• "During our holiday the heat was so terrible that I removed my artificial leg and wrapped it in plastic. When I got home I discovered my children had accidentally stabbed my leg with a knife."
   

• "I suffered from piles for some time and during one day I had a bad spell of constipation. I lost my gold wedding ring down the toilet in our villa."
   

• "Upon arrival at the airport I arranged for my wife to relax in the comfort of a taxi while I looked for our luggage. 30 minutes later I returned to the taxi area but found my wife dumped on the sidewalk with the luggage as the taxi driver would not wait any longer without being paid."
   

• "We thought our honeymoon would be complete when we rented one of your lovely pool homes. Four days later, I returned to England alone as she wasn't the one for me."
